026.jpgSupport Teacher - Inclusive Education (STIE)

Two Support Teachers are employed to support students and teachers in promoting the best possible opportunities for learning. Mrs Bernadette Little provides support to students and teachers from Prep to Year 3. Mr Will Erwin supports students and teachers in Years 3- Year 6.  Assistance includes:
  • Assistance with process of gaining support for students with learning and other difficulties.
  • Planning and implementing programs to meet student needs. 
  • In-class student support.
  • Referring students through the Principal to other agencies for specialist assistance.
  • Liaising with parents and System personnel.
  • Children are referred to the Support Teacher by the classroom teacher or the Principal. Parents may also make requests through the classroom teacher.

Gifted and Talented:

It is the responsibility of classroom teachers to co-ordinate provision of instruction to meet the needs of all students in their classes. Guardian Angels’ school is very fortunate to currently employ an Enrichment Teacher for 9 hours per week.​​

Guidance Counsellor:

A Guidance Counsellor is based at Guardian Angels’ and caters for the needs of two Catholic primary schools within the region. 

English as a Second Language (ESL)

A specialist English as a Second Language teacher assists eligible students.
