COVID Measures at GA in Term 2

At the beginning of this term, I emailed parents with the latest COVID health measures we have in place at Guardian Angels. Please note, these measures can change at any time and if any amendments need to be made I will communicate these to you. I include the COVID FAQ below for your information.

  1. Q1. Are parents allowed to come onto school grounds?
    A. Yes! Parents and carers are welcome on our school site. We ask parents to please adhere to COVID Normal (Level 1) health requirements such as: physical distancing between adults; staying home if sick; and regular COVID-safe hygiene measures. Parents coming onto to school grounds are asked to stay no longer than 15 minutes on site and to maintain social distancing. Parents and carers are asked to limit gatherings at drop-off and pick-up time, in the carpark and outside classrooms for no longer than 15 minutes.
  2. Q2. Can I make an appointment to meet with my child’s teacher?
A.Yes, please make contact with your child’s teacher through the normal channels. Parents are asked to sign in via the office and please complete the COVID check in form via the QR poster (located in each office)
  3. Q3. Can parents/carers attend school assemblies?
    A. Yes! School assemblies are seen as part of the normal day-to-day routine of the school. Any parents/carers attending would need to practise social distancing and will be factored into the capacity/spacing of the assembly area. As our Assembly takes place in an outdoor setting, parents/carers will need to adhere to social distancing of 1.5m.
  4. Q4. Can parents/carers attend sporting carnivals, activities or prayer celebrations/ remembrances?
    A. Yes! Parents and carers attending the carnival will need to adhere to social distancing and the school will be collecting parent/carer names for contact tracing purposes. At each school event/carnival, a COVID check in form will be provided in the form of a QR Poster. Parents are asked to sign in using this form.
  5. Q5. Can I volunteer at school and for class excursions?
    A. Yes! Parents may be invited for specific purposes. Any parents/carer volunteering will need to adhere to social distancing measures. Parents who volunteer at school will need to sign in through the office and complete the COVID check in form (QR Poster)
  6. Q6. Can I attend school events after school? For example, extra-curricular activities such as Brisbane Roar clinics.
    A. Yes! Parents may be invited for specific purposes. Any parents/carer attending will need to adhere to social distancing measures. Parents need to complete the COVID check in form (QR Code) that activity provider will supply.
