On Sunday, a group of 24 students were accompanied by their parents to the University of Queensland to take part in the annual Opti-MINDS Challenge. Over the course of 6 weeks, the groups had to design a solution to a given challenge. They worked together at lunch time and after school, collaborating on ideas, designing costumes and props and writing scripts and books.

The four Guardian Angels' teams were an absolute credit to themselves and the school. They conducted themselves in such a way that the judges commented on how prepared they were and how confident in their responses they were.

All four teams achieved amazing results and we are super proud of their efforts:

  • Language and Literature 1 – Participation Award
  • Language and Literature 2 – Participation Award
  • Social Sciences 1 – Honours Award
  • Social Sciences 2 – FIRST PLACE

The winning Social Sciences team will now have the opportunity to return to UQ to participate in the State Finals in October. We wish them the very best of luck.
