Guardian Angels’ Primary School, Wynnum farewell beloved educator of 31 years Nicole Waller (Friday 5 December).
Guardian Angels’ Primary School Principal Veronica Tomerini-Smith said, “throughout her career Nicole’s story at Guardian Angels’ has been one of love and service”.
“You’ve helped shape the Guardian Angels’ story, guiding our school family and creating a safe, happy place where children can dream big,” she said.
“Nicole saw the spark in every child and helped it shine brighter.
Now, that spark lives on in each child’s story, carried forward into their future, lighting the way for the next chapters of their lives.”
Mrs Waller was also known for love reading and literacy and was known in the school community for dressing up as beloved fairytale characters and reading to the children.
Year 6 student Caitlin said, “We love seeing Mrs Waller dress up for assemblies and the Christmas concert”.
“Thank you, Mrs Waller for caring for everyone and making school such a happy place,” she said.
Veronica adds “It has been our honour and privilege to be part of your story at Guardian Angels, to walk alongside you, to learn from you, and to share in the chapters you’ve written so beautifully”.
“I have the privilege and honour, on behalf of our entire community, to say thank you,” she said.
“Thank you for your dedication, your wisdom, and your friendship.
We will miss your presence, but your story will always be part of ours.
May the next chapter be filled with adventure, love, courage and the same joy that brought you here 31 years ago.”
Nicole was farewelled by students with a song they wrote and performed, as well as special guard of honour.
